One of the largest resorts in Hokkaido, Japan is the ski resort Rusutsu. It is made up of 3 mountain ranges, Mt. Isola, East Mt. and West Mt. and combines a total of 42 kilometres of slopes with elevations between 400 and 994 metres to ensure a diverse range of slopes and terrain for skiers and snowboarders to take advantage of and guarantees some great quality snowfall throughout the winter season.
With direct connections via the circulating gondola, residents and guests can travel easily from one mountain to the next with access to the hotels and restaurants in the resort too. The 18 lifts in total provide quick access to slopes of choice as well as providing outstanding views of the local scenery. There is quite an even weighting between slope difficulty with 12.6 kilometres of easy runs, 16.8 kilometres of intermediate runs and 12.6 kilometres of expert slopes, with a variety of each difficulty available on each mountain range.
