Meran 2000 resort information

The Meran 2000 is an Italian ski resort located in Merano and Environs, Trentino-Alto Adige, South Tyrol. Italy. The majority of the area consists of slopes suitable for intermediate skiing, but there is also runs to suit the most novice of skiers and the powder professionals.

There are approximately 40 kilometres of ski slopes ranging from the simplest to the more technical runs for residents to enjoy skiing and snowboarding like they never have experienced before. With elevations between 1,609 and 2,350 metres there really is something for everyone and is the ideal destination for those who want to spend a week on the freeride through unique and varied itineraries for downhill runs. With its high altitudes it ensures fantastic snow coverage and 100% of its slopes having snow making facilities the resort provides ideal skiing conditions all the way throughout the winter season.

Covering pistes of all difficulties skiers can choose to take it easy on the 12 kilometres of easy slopes, build up their confidence on 25 kilometres of intermediate slopes or really show off their endurance skills on the 3 kilometres of downhill expert slopes, the Mittager I is the resort’s most demanding slope and is 1 kilometre in length. Families and children will love the children's area and the ski school which are ideal for taking those first steps in the snow.

Alternative activities include snowboarding, tobogganing and snowshoe hiking through the snow-covered mountain ranges. There are a range of different restaurants and bars that residents can kick back and relax in. Waidmannalm and Berggasthof Piffinger Köpfl are amongst the firm favourites for both residents and locals with their delicious food at fantastic prices.
