Located in the Val Gardena Gröden in Italy, the Gröden (Val Gardena) ski resort is an outstanding alpine ski resort, surrounded by breath-taking natural scenery and is perfect for skiers of all abilities. This large resort covers a whopping 175 kilometres of slopes and offers some of the highest skiable terrain in the Dolomite area; it is an ideal destination for experts, beginners and families.
The variety of slopes makes sure that skiers and boarders can experience a wide range of terrain from the smoothest of cruises to the steepest of chutes. With elevations ranging between 1,236 and 2,518 meters, there really is something to suit all abilities. The resort has 18 kilometres of black runs, some of its signature runs being the Saslong, Ciampinoi and Dantercerpies, The 105 kilometres of intermediate runs are able to challenge the more advanced skiers whilst the 52 kilometres of less intimidating groomed blue runs are ideal for perfecting skills, the easiest of slopes can be found in the Plan de Gralba area.
As well as skiing there is an abundance of other activities and excursions, for example, snow-mobile trips, snowshoe excursions on prepared trails. When it's time to leave the slopes why not try Sofie Hütte a little hut style restaurant located at the highest point of the resort. It offers amazing food, a selection of wines as well as outstanding panoramic views which can be seen through the large glass panels.
