The ski resort Aprica is located in Italy and sits on a huge plateau in the region of Valtellina. The medium resort consists of over 50 kilometres of slopes mainly suited to intermediate skiers/boarders, however there is a great variety of well linked blue, red, and also a few black runs. With elevations between 1,162 and 2,270, the resort ensures there really is something for every skiing ability.
The 28.3 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue runs are well suited to beginners as slopes are uncrowded and only a short walk to ski lifts. A new run, the ‘Superpanoramica’ is popular with novice skiers, descending over six kilometres. Alongside this, the 14 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs and 7.7 kilometres of ‘expert’ black runs are perfect for those who want something a little more challenging. The resort's runs are serviced by 11 lifts including two gondolas and a brand new four seater express chair lift; an easy way to travel whilst taking in the beautiful alpine scenery. In addition to the slopes, there is the ‘Snowpark Campetti’ a designated area just for snowboarding.
There is so much to do as well as ski at this outstanding resort, why not experience a mountainside walk in snowshoes or a guided trek through the forest. There is an outdoor skating rink, an indoor climbing wall and even a swimming pool. Children can also slip and slide on the easy slopes just beside the Campetti, or in Pian di Gembro.
