This floodlit toboggan run is open daily and also until 1 am for night sledging between Monday and Saturday! The top of the run can be reached either by a two-hour walk through the beautiful Austrian mountains or via the Gerlossteinbahn cablecar.

There are also many cross-country ski runs and winter hiking trails if you prefer to enjoy the breathtaking scenery at a slower pace. Mountain bike courses, fixed rope hiking routes and adventure playgrounds all make Zell am Zimmer an ideal location for those looking for an active lifestyle in beautiful surroundings

Zell am Ziller is perfect for families, with a range of adventures to be had. The Arena Coaster is the first Alpine rollercoaster, ideal for some extra fun, and the FreizeitPark Zell has a bowling alley, ice rink, curling rink and tennis courts, to keep the whole family entertained.

Not only is Zell am Ziller a skiing haven in the winter, but it is also a cultural centre, with a long and unique history dating back to 1188. It is full of tradition, and in the summer, the famous Gauder Fest takes place attracting visitors from across the region and further afield.

This event is the largest folk festival in Tirol, and it is part of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. New six seater ski lifts have been introduced in the region, as have online ski passes and floodlighting for late skiing This high-tech and modern skiing destination is perfect for investing, with a wide variety of hotels, leisure activities, bars and restaurants. There are continuously high levels of investment in the region, such as the new 150,000 cubic metre storage lake in the Rosenalm area in Zell am Ziller. This 2018/19 project will ensure that nearly all of the slopes in this area can have access to artificial snow, with around 13 million Euro invested in the scheme.

Transport to Zell am Ziller

For overseas visitors, you can quickly get to Zell am Zimmer from the airports at Innsbruck, Munich and Salzburg in under two hours. There are also easy rail and bus connections to the rest of Austria and the surrounding villages and hamlets provide unique destinations.
