Westernberg (Ruhpolding) resort information

Deep in the Bavarian Mountains, Westernberg (Ruhpolding) is close to the border of Austria, tucked away in the Southern Eastern corner of Germany approximately 650m-750m above sea level. Despite being only 90 minutes away from Munich, holiday makers often feel worlds away when exploring the Alps.

The main features of Westernberg are the 0.5km blue slopes. All these have 100% snowmaking capabilities and serve as a fantastic starting point for people who are new to winter sports. These are accessible through the rope lift and tow which runs regularly at the resort. Other activities also include a snow park for family-orientated activities, children and technical skiers.

Westernberg's adrenalin-fuelled valley run through the Alps is incredibly successful for anyone with a thirst for adventure. Night skiing is even on offer for anyone after other unique skiing experiences. However, the latter is only available on Tuesdays and Fridays during the resort's floodlight hours, which are from 6-9pm.
