Nestled in the Zornalb County area of Germany, Schlossberg – Tailfingen (Albstadt) is a smaller ski resort with a lot on offer for guests to take advantage of. With 1.3km of slopes and 1 lift to provide transport to the top, this family resort gives those new to skiing the chance to sharpen their technique across gentle descents of between 810m and 935m.
The slopes are in the south-western area of the Schlossberg in Swabian Jura, offering 0.8km of easy slopes (the family run) and 0.5km of intermediate slopes (the Alpin). The variety on offer here ensures that complete beginners should be able to master the easy slopes before moving swiftly onto intermediate in no time at all. In addition, there is also a snowpark for freestylers to let loose and floodlighting so visibility is improved for low-light conditions.
Thankfully for hungry skiers and snowboarders, the variety of restaurants and bars on offer is high, especially in the town of Albstadt. Highlights include the indian restaurant Ganesha Palace, Restaurant Blume-Post and Landhaus-Stiegel.
