For premium first-time skiing and snowboarding in Germany, and a great way to beat the crowds, the Salzburger Kopf – Stein-Neukirch/Rennerod ski resort is a fantastic choice. With only 0.3km of slopes and elevations between 604m and 654m, you couldn’t ask for a more pleasant descent for beginners to get to grips with the slopes.
The slopes are accessible via 2 ski lifts for visitors and residents to use, though the slopes themselves are classified as easy in totality. This makes them perfect not only for first-time adults but also for children wanting to try out the slopes at an early age.
Within the Westerwald area and more specifically, the Stein-Neukirch village, there is a lot to explore including a church built in 1287, and the Neukircher Markt with over 100 stalls to peruse. Families and groups can soak up the culture of the nearby villages, or grab a bite to eat at Hotel-Resataurant Salzburger Kopf or Ristorante Pizzeria San Valentino amongst other venues.
