Fahlenscheid-Olpe ski resort can be found in the beautiful surroundings of Sauerland, Germany (Central uplands of Germany, Deutsche Mittelgebirge). This petite resort is located just 11 kilometres from the town centre of Olpe and is a wonderful choice for both tourist and locals.
This cosy resort has everything you need for a wonderful break on the slopes there are 2 kilometres of slopes available in total divided into two skiing abilities, ‘easy’ green runs take up 1.4 kilometres of slopes whilst ‘intermediate’ blue/red runs take up 0.8 kilometres of slopes for skiing and snowboarding.
The slopes at Fahlenscheid-Olpe are wider than one might expect, giving the illusion of bigger and longer slopes, and at the highest point guests are able to take in the breath-taking views of the Sauerland hills. The highest point is 593 metres and the lowest elevation is 509 metres. Aside from skiing and snowboarding there are a wide range of activities to try including tobogganing, winter hiking along the Skiwanderweg ‘Roter Stein’ and the snow tubing runs are particularly memorable. The valley run which is always open also offers endless hours of winter sports fun. For the longest run guests can take the Steinbrink lift I to the Steinbrink-Wald run which is 0.8km in length, the most difficult run here is the Steinbrink upper slope 0.1km in length. Night skiing is also an option for those who can’t get enough of the snow during the day.
