In the heart of Alpsee Grünten Holiday Region, Swabia, Bavaria, Germany, lies the small ski resort of Grüntenlifte–Kranzegg. Only 11 minutes from Flugplatz Agathazell airport, this resort is ideal for families and novice skiers and snowboarders who want to indulge in calm slopes and smooth skiing as well as a variety of winter activities and relaxing après-ski.
The resort itself consists of 16.8 kilometres of ski slopes and an additional 1.5 kilometres of marked ski routes for those who want something a little more challenging. The 16.8 kilometres of slopes are made up of 2.1 kilometres of easy slopes and 14.7 kilometres of intermediate slopes all of which are wide with gradual descents to ensure pleasant gliding. Intermediate runs 3 and 4 lead from the highest peak at Endstation Gipfellift at 1,700 metres, whilst lift F transports guests to this beautiful spot where the most panoramic breath-taking views can be seen. There is a total of 8 lifts for seamless transportation around the resort. So whether you are a confident cruiser or a novice, you’re sure to find a slope to suit you.
After a long day indulging on the powdered slopes, guests can choose between a selection of restaurants and rustic huts with table service, along with a selection of bars for après-ski. Mountain top dining is available at the bottom of run 3 which leads straight to Grüntenhütte.
