Willingen – Ettelsberg ski resort can be found tucked away in Sauerand, Central Uplands of Germany. For skiing and snowboarding the resort provides 16km of varied slopes, 7km of easy runs and 9km of intermediate terrain, the slopes are wide and attractive, this is a relatively low altitude resort with elevations between 580 and 838m. There are 9 lifts located throughout the resort to transport guests. The resort is best recognised for its famous annual ski jump World Cup events.
Willingen is stated in a valet basin from which the surrounding mountains are connected by ski slopes and ski lifts, two of the highest mountains within the region are located here the Hegekopf and the Langenberg. They provide a beautiful panoramic landscape for guests to appreciate, the viewing platform on the Hocheideturm is the highest point in Northwestern Germany. The resort is more attractive with the additional activities available: numerous toboggan runs, cross-country trails, the ice sport arena and a biathlon facility all contributing in making this one of the most attractive and well catered resorts within the Central Uplands of Germany.
