A superb smaller ski resort located in the Achensee and Tyrol Region of Austria, the Karwendel Bergbahn (Zwölferkopf) – Pertisau Ski resort is the perfect destination for families and novice skiers or snowboarders to get to grips with the snow, offering amazing winter fun without the stress. Only a 45-minute transfer from Innsbruck Airport and with elevation ranges between 960 and 1,510 metres and a total of 12 kilometres of slopes, visitors and residents can expect gentle descents and easy surfaces to practice on.
Consisting of 6 kilometres of easy slopes and 6 kilometres of intermediate slopes, the Karwendel Bergbahn ski resort is ideal for beginners who want to learn how to ski on smooth, easy slopes. A rather large beginner’s area is situated at the Planberg and Wiesen lifts and here families and novices can learn skills such as turning and stopping before heading off to master them on the more intermediate slopes. When taking a trip up to the top of the Karwendel Cable lift, residents will be greeted by fabulous panoramic views of the Karwendel Mountains and the rocky peaks of the Rofan Mountains.
For Dining and après ski there are only 2 hot spots which more than fill the needs of guests. The Alpengasthof Karwendel is a rustic restaurant with a large sun terrace, serving fantastic Tyrolean cuisine. Skiers can also end a successful day on the slopes in the heated umbrella bar Pfandler Schirmbar which can be found at the base station of the Karwendel Bergbahn.
