The ski resort Krinnenalpe – Nesselwängle is located in the Tannheimer Tal area of Tyrol, Austria, with its amazing views of the Tyrolean Mountains it has the reputation of being an ideal starting point for families and beginner skiers. Despite not being as big as some resorts in the area, skiers and snowboarders still have over 13 kilometres of slopes to experience and is accessible using 5 ski lifts.
With elevations between 1,150 and 1,671 metres, visitors and residents have a wide variety of surfaces and terrain to test out, meaning the resort is also suitable for novice skiers and advanced skiers in similar measures. There is also a balance between 5 kilometres of easy slopes, 7 kilometres of intermediate slopes and 1 kilometres of expert runs as well as an additional 1 kilometre of marked ski routes; truly something for every ability. Night owls can also take advantage of skiing under the stars until 20:30 on 0.5 kilometres of floodlit slopes.
Skiing and boarding is not all this fantastic resort has to offer, as there is a wealth of other activities for all to enjoy including bobsledding down one of the specially prepared runs, tobogganing on the region’s longest toboggan run which is 3.6 kilometres in length, or tubing down the slope at the Tennenberg.
On the Krinnenalpe, guests can recharge their batteries with delicious food and drink before taking a relaxing break in a lounger on the sun terrace. The Krinnenalpe is located on the ski slopes by the Almboden lift. Another popular choice is the cosy Schuster restaurant which is an ideal meeting point for warming up with a quick drink. There is also Rudolf’s bar for après-ski until the early morning.
