Loferer Alm resort information

A wonderful resort hidden in Salzberger Saalachtal, Austria, the Lofer – Loferer Alm ski resort offers guests 46km of varied slopes, 32km of easy terrain, 12km of intermediate slopes and 2km of difficult runs, 10 operational lifts to transport guests around the resort and elevations of 640 and 1,670m.

This family friendly resort is the first in the world to offer a ‘child safe’ 8-person chairlift with foot rests, weather protectors and seat heaters. The lift elevates to the highest peak providing a breath-taking panoramic view of the mountain landscapes, also for the little ones there is a children’s area with a 140m long ‘magic carpet’. For adults to have some fun the Lofi Funline provides heart racing action for snowboarders and free-riders.

If guests travel to the peak of the Schwarzeck there is a magnificent 360° panorama view from the mountain station, leading down from this point are various wide slopes perfect for the whole family to enjoy together.

The resort in recent years has undergone extensive refurbishment, with first class lifts put into place, a new artificial snow making system and improvements to the fun park, children’s zones and opening of new restaurants.
