The ski resort Kühtai is located in the Sellraintal area of Tyrol, Austria. It is Austria's highest ski village and is only a 35-minute transfer from Innsbruck Airport, perfect for those who want to hit the slopes as soon as possible. Boasting over 41 kilometres of diverse slopes, visitors and residents are lucky enough to enjoy elevations between 1,938 and 2,520 metres which means there really is something for every skiing ability.
There are slopes of all difficulty levels ranging from steep slopes to beginner runs, but the majority is aimed to more intermediate level. The 6 kilometres of ‘easy’ blue runs are near the Start lift, the Sonnen lift and the Schwarzmoos lift, perfect for beginners who are looking to try out their skis for the first time. 26.2 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ red runs and 8.8 kilometres of ‘expert’ black runs provide some steep and exhilarating slopes for the more advanced skiers to challenge themselves and can be found at the Wiesberg and Gaiskogel T-bar lifts. As well as skiing, the resort also provides a wide range of other amenities and activities for people to enjoy; there is tobogganing, snowshoe hiking and snow parks for those who are looking for a little more adventure off the slopes.
Even though the day is over, the night is just beginning. Relax and with drinks and snacks in one of the many restaurants and bars situated within the resort. One of the most favoured spots is The Kuehtaier Dorfstadl mountain restaurant, an alpine hut offering delicious meals the whole family will love. At night this hut transforms into a dance floor with a large bar and music that really gets the party started and keeps going until late into the evening.
