The ski resort Flachauwinkl/Kleinarl (Shuttleberg) is located in the Salzburger Sportwelt, Salzburg, Austria amongst the National Park Hohe Tauern. It has the reputation of being an Eldorado for all freestylers as well as a wonderfully versatile resort for families of all ages and abilities.
With elevation ranges between 1,000 metres and 1,980 metres, skiers and snowboarders can revel in the resorts 28 kilometres of slopes as well as an additional 8 kilometres of secure yet unprepared ski routes, perfect for those who crave exhilaration. There are 19 kilometres of ‘easy’ runs, which offer a variety of particularly gentle slopes where children and beginners can enjoy a smooth, yet fun descent. The 7 kilometres of ‘intermediate’ slopes are slightly more challenging and include a run which leads from the highest point in the ski resort to Flachauwinkl. For those who welcome difficult terrain there are 2 kilometres of ‘expert’ runs
In addition to the wide range of slopes, Flachauwinkl/Kleinarl has one of the largest snow parks in Europe, with a variety of different obstacles and jumps which are included into the natural landscape. A particular highlight of the snow park is the Super Pipe with 7 metre high walls.
The fun doesn’t end on the slopes as there are many rustic mountain huts, restaurants and bars which offer gorgeous panoramic views of the Hohen and Niederen Tauern Mountains. The Hubertusalm which is located at the Powder Shuttle base station serves a range of traditional Salzburg cuisine.
