Only two hours away from Innsbruck Airport, is the outstanding Großglockner Ski Resort. Located in Osttirol, East Tyrol, Austria, this resort attracts a huge amount of visitors as it is East Tyrols largest ski resort. Guests are able to take advantage of the 37 kilometres of slopes and 4.6 kilometres of additional ski routes between the picturesque alpine meadows.
The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 933 and 2,422 metres and really does provide something for all abilities, from novice skiers to those who are confident in this winter sport. Beginners are welcomed on the 8.5 kilometres of blue runs, challenge the advanced on the 22.5 kilometres of red slopes and the most confident of skiers can revel in the 6 kilometres of black slopes, including the longest and most difficult run in the resort, the Cimaross which is 2 kilometres in length.
Grossglockner offers more than just a variety of slopes, there are some magnificent panoramic views from over sixty 3000 metre high mountains as well as giving guests the opportunity to take part in winter walks and sleigh rides through the snowy winter landscape.
