Bad Hofgastein resort information

Bad Gasteinbad ski resort is located in Salzburg Austria, and is less than 60 minutes from the nearest airport and wonderful for both skiing and snowboarding with 86km of slopes and 1.3km of ski routes available. Elevations range between 860m and 2300m, ensures a variety of different terrain accessible for skiers and snowboarders within the 1440m vertical descent.

This resort is wonderful for the confident skier with over half the sloped rated between moderate and intermediate 52.8km in total. Easy (or green runs) have 30.6km and for the experts and thrill seekers there are 2.6km of black runs to experience. With 20 ski lifts available and a total capacity of 32699 passengers per hour, it goes without saying there isn’t much, if any standing around waiting.

Guests are also spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, with the restaurant Rossalm perfect for a traditional local bite. For drinks, The Blonde Beans café is highly recommended and the Bellevue Alm Mutter aller Hutten serves some wonderful local beers.

Lastly, the town is recognised for hosting the annual Gastein Ladies tennis tournament, which is an international event which attracts some of the best and well-known players.
